God is Angry Every Day

Is God really angry every Day?

This video looks at Psalm 7:11 which says,

“God is a just judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day.”

  1. Puts this passage in perspective too:
Ps 76:10 (NIV) Surely your wrath against men brings you praise, and the survivors of your wrath are restrained.

  2. Thanks for the comment Jeff, and yes that is a tennis ball hanging from a string. It helps me be a good judge of how far to pull in so that I won’t be angry every day. 🙂

  3. Excellent message!

God’s anger/hatred is not an emotional anger/hate. It is based on holiness, not on selfishness or pride or ego, as a human being’s is. God is a righteous, holy God, and holiness hates evil. A good, just judge cannot merely excuse sin, or else that judge would be a lousy judge. If a judge said, “Oh, you murdered 150 people, and raped 85 women, including young girls? Ah, well, no problem, you’re free to go,” that would be a horrible judge.

To love one thing necessarily means to hate another thing. If you love your wife, you would hate for her to get cancer. If you love your wife, you would hate her having an affair with another man. If you love your wife, you would hate it if someone raped her.

To love righteousness necessarily means to hate unrighteousness. And God doesn’t merely prefer righteousness; His very character is righteousness and holiness.

It looks like you filmed that in your garage, and that you have a tennis ball hanging from a string to let you know how far to pull your car in. My mom has the same thing in her garage! LOL!

I posted a link to your blog site in my article today on my blog site.
